Dubai: The Air Force Vidya Bharti Alumni (AFVBA) marked a significant milestone by hosting its first-ever meet-up in Dubai, bringing together alumni from across the UAE after decades. The gathering highlighted the strong bond within the AFVBA community and set the stage for a larger, more inclusive alumni event in the region.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the meet-up was when Yuvraj Ralli from Gwalior reconnected with senior schoolmates Dr. Prabha and Anitha after an incredible 21-year gap. The emotional reunion underscored the power of the AFVBA network in uniting members across continents.

The Dubai meet-up was the second major step toward building a global alumni network, following earlier initiatives undertaken by the AFVBA community. Held at a Starbucks outlet, the informal setting allowed participants to freely exchange ideas, share memories, and lay the groundwork for the future. With no prior reference of alumni presence in the UAE, the group chose this relaxed venue as a comfortable starting point to discover the depth of the community.

AFVBA extended heartfelt gratitude to Anitha, who has taken charge of coordinating the UAE Alumni Chapter. Under her leadership, the community will work toward organizing a much larger AFVBA family meet in Dubai in February 2026, envisioned to be hosted at upscale ballrooms or community centers — welcoming alumni along with their families for an elevated and memorable experience.
